Pour surpasser les capacit\u00e9s de calcul d\u2019un ordinateur classique (lequel comprend aujourd\u2019hui plusieurs milliards de transistors), le nombre de bits quantiques \u00e9l\u00e9mentaires doit atteindre plusieurs millions. Les porteurs du projet QuCube combinent les forces de leurs \u00e9quipes pour viser la r\u00e9alisation d\u2019un processeur quantique rassemblant au moins une centaine de bits quantiques (qubit) physiques, et permettant la d\u00e9monstration d\u2019un premier qubit logique fonctionnel, \u00e9tape d\u00e9cisive vers un futur ordinateur quantique. Une telle r\u00e9alisation placerait les technologies quantiques silicium \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tat de l\u2019art actuel en termes de nombre de bits quantiques, avec l\u2019atout de r\u00e9elles perspectives de passage \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle, en utilisant les solutions les plus avanc\u00e9es en microfabrication et int\u00e9gration 3D.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size:14px\">Un financement europ\u00e9en pour une recherche collaborative de rang mondial<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L\u2019interaction collaborative \u00e9troite des 3 responsables de recherche laur\u00e9ats &#8211; Silvano De Franceschi (INAC, CEA), Tristan Meunier (Institut N\u00e9el, CNRS), et Maud Vinet (CEA-Leti) &#8211; et de leurs \u00e9quipes permettra une recherche transformatrice \u00e0 la pointe de la science, capable de produire des r\u00e9sultats scientifiques r\u00e9volutionnaires, voire impr\u00e9visibles et\/ou de nouvelles disciplines. L&rsquo;ambition est d&rsquo;ouvrir la voie \u00e0 des r\u00e9sultats plus importants que la somme des contributions individuelles de chaque responsable de recherche. Les nombreuses ann\u00e9es d\u2019expertise en recherche amont sur la physique du transport \u00e9lectronique dans le silicium et les technologies quantiques, et le financement d\u2019un tel projet placent Univ.
