La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9voit de d\u00e9ployer \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle sa m\u00e9thode plus \u00e9cologique d&rsquo;extraction du lithium sur une concession \u00e9valu\u00e9e \u00e0 neuf millions de tonnes qu&rsquo;elle poss\u00e8de en Argentine. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Une technologie s\u00e9lective et rapide<\/strong><br \/>\nLa technique d&rsquo;extraction s\u00e9lective des sels de l&rsquo;eau par voie liquide-liquide d&rsquo;Adionics est bas\u00e9e sur une gamme de formulations appel\u00e9es \u00ab Flionex&nbsp; \u00bb qui permet une extraction \u00e0 froid, en isolant le lithium pr\u00e9sent dans la solution aqueuse, puis une r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration par simple \u00e9l\u00e9vation de temp\u00e9rature.&nbsp;<br \/>\nApr\u00e8s douze ann\u00e9es de recherches, l&rsquo;entreprise propose une extraction \u00e9conomique, tr\u00e8s efficace, tout en ayant un tr\u00e8s faible impact environnemental. La cha\u00eene de production est simplifi\u00e9e, sans ajout de produits chimiques dans la phase d&rsquo;extraction, avec une forte r\u00e9duction de la consommation d&rsquo;eau et des besoins \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques. Aujourd&rsquo;hui, deux pilotes industriels ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 permis de mettre en \u0153uvre la technique dans des conditions r\u00e9elles. Pour Patrick Peters, PDG d&rsquo;Adionics \u00ab Notre solution permet un cycle de production de lithium de moins de 24 heures au lieu de 12 \u00e0 18 mois en utilisant l&rsquo;\u00e9vaporation solaire naturelle, avec un encombrement 400 fois plus petit. C&rsquo;est une solution robuste dans sa mise en \u0153uvre gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l&rsquo;utilisation d&rsquo;\u00e9quipements industriels connus.&nbsp;En plus de l&rsquo;aspect environnemental, qui est crucial, Adionics ouvre la voie \u00e0 la production \u00e9conomique de lithium sous toutes ses formes commerciales, aux plus hauts standards de qualit\u00e9\u00bb.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Un march\u00e9 en plein boum<\/strong><br \/>\nSelon les pr\u00e9visions, si les Europ\u00e9ens veulent rester dans la course \u00e0 la production de batteries, d&rsquo;ici 2030, la demande de lithium sera \u00e9quivalente \u00e0 la production mondiale de 2019 et la demande mondiale de lithium aura au moins quintupl\u00e9. Aujourd&rsquo;hui, l&rsquo;extraction du lithium se fait selon deux m\u00e9thodes aussi polluantes longue et difficile l&rsquo;une que l&rsquo;autre: en Australie, \u00e0 partir de roches ou majoritairement en Am\u00e9rique du Sud \u00e0 partir de saumure pomp\u00e9e sous des lacs d&rsquo;eau sal\u00e9e. Dans ce cas, le lithium est ensuite r\u00e9colt\u00e9 par \u00e9vaporation.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>La start-up fran\u00e7aise travaille sur cette deuxi\u00e8me m\u00e9thode, en partenariat avec des producteurs de lithium argentins et chiliens, en particulier. L&rsquo;utilisation de bassins d&rsquo;\u00e9vaporation g\u00e9n\u00e8re des d\u00e9lais de mise sur le march\u00e9 pouvant atteindre 18 mois avec des niveaux de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration du lithium souvent limit\u00e9 \u00e0 50 % ou moins en raison de la copr\u00e9cipitation du lithium avec le magn\u00e9sium et\/ou le sulfate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La solution Adionics<\/strong><br \/>\nSelectEx Lithium&nbsp;d\u00a0\u00bbAdionics apporte \u00e0 ce march\u00e9 en pleine croissance l&rsquo;outil ad\u00e9quat car il permet l&rsquo;extraction s\u00e9lective du chlorure de lithium (LiCl) \u00e0 partir de la saumure, quelle que soit la concentration de la saumure en magn\u00e9sium ou en sulfate, avec un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 valorisant naturellement les concentrations \u00e9lev\u00e9es de chlorure.
