{"id":101636,"date":"2018-11-29T23:07:43","date_gmt":"2018-11-29T23:07:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/\/un-million-de-coeurs-pour-le-supercalculateur-neuromorphique-spinnaker\/"},"modified":"2018-11-29T23:07:43","modified_gmt":"2018-11-29T23:07:43","slug":"un-million-de-coeurs-pour-le-supercalculateur-neuromorphique-spinnaker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ecinews.fr\/fr\/un-million-de-coeurs-pour-le-supercalculateur-neuromorphique-spinnaker\/","title":{"rendered":"Un million de c\u0153urs pour le supercalculateur neuromorphique SpiNNaker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SpiNNaker mod\u00e9lise plus de neurones biologiques en temps r\u00e9el que toute autre machine existante \u00e0 ce jour, selon l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Manchester, o\u00f9 le supercalculateur a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Le supercalculateur qui regroupe 100 millions de transistors, est capable de simuler des r\u00e9gions du cerveau humain, les d\u00e9veloppeurs ayant pour objectif ultime de pouvoir simuler un milliard de neurones, soit &nbsp;environ 1% du cerveau humain.<\/p>\n<p>SpiNNaker, bas\u00e9 sur la mod\u00e9lisation de r\u00e9seaux de neurones dynamiques, est l\u2019enfant du professeur Steve Furber, l\u2019un des deux concepteurs originaux du processeur \u00ab\u00a0Advanced RISC Machine\u00a0\u00bb ou ARM. Le projet fut lanc\u00e9 en 2005. Il est actuellement compos\u00e9 de 57 600 processeurs dot\u00e9s chacun de 18 c\u0153urs ARM 32 bits et de 128 Mo de SDRAM totalisant 1 036 800 c\u0153urs et plus de 7 t\u00e9raoctets de RAM.<\/p>\n<p>Jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, le projet a co\u00fbt\u00e9 15 millions de livres sterling (environ 18 millions d&rsquo;Euros), avec 20 ans pour la conception et 12 ans pour la construction. SpiNNaker est maintenant soutenu par le projet europ\u00e9en Human Brain, une multinationale cofinanc\u00e9e par l&rsquo;Union europ\u00e9enne.<\/p>\n<p>Une des utilisations fondamentales de Spinnaker est d&rsquo;aider les neuroscientifiques \u00e0 comprendre le fonctionnement du cerveau humain en effectuant des simulations \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle. Les exemples incluent un mod\u00e8le de 80 000 neurones d&rsquo;une partie du cortex, de la couche externe du cerveau et des ganglions de la base, dans la r\u00e9gion touch\u00e9e par la maladie de Parkinson.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Les neuroscientifiques peuvent d\u00e9sormais utiliser SpiNNaker pour percer certains secrets du fonctionnement du cerveau humain en ex\u00e9cutant des simulations \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle, jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 lors impossibles. Il fonctionne \u00e9galement comme un simulateur neural en temps r\u00e9el permettant aux robotitiens de concevoir des r\u00e9seaux de neurones \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle pour la conception de robots mobiles permettant de marcher, parler et bouger avec souplesse et tout en utilisant une puissance r\u00e9duite \u00ab\u00a0, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le professeur Furber.<\/p>\n<p><a
