Avant cette mise \u00e0 jour, l&rsquo;USB PD \u00e9tait limit\u00e9 \u00e0 100W via une solution bas\u00e9e sur 20V utilisant des c\u00e2bles USB Type-C supportant 5A.&nbsp;La sp\u00e9cification USB Type-C a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 mise \u00e0 jour avec la version 2.1 pour d\u00e9finir les exigences de c\u00e2ble de 240 W.<\/p>\n<p>La d\u00e9finition combin\u00e9e du protocole USB PD et de l&rsquo;alimentation \u00e9tend l&rsquo;utilisation de l&rsquo;USB PD \u00e0 un grand nombre d&rsquo;applications o\u00f9 100 W n&rsquo;\u00e9taient pas suffisants.&nbsp;La nouvelle architecture USB PD d\u00e9finit un protocole de n\u00e9gociation de puissance beaucoup plus strict qui permet de garantir que l&rsquo;acc\u00e8s et l&rsquo;utilisation de cette capacit\u00e9 de puissance plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e peuvent \u00eatre effectu\u00e9s en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;USB PD3.1 d\u00e9finit un choix de trois tensions fixes : 28, 36 et 48V, pour des puissance respectivement inf\u00e9rieures \u00e0 100, 140 et 180W. Ces tensions rejoignent les tensions fixes d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9finies de 5&nbsp;V, 9&nbsp;V, 15&nbsp;V et 20&nbsp;V et un nouveau mode de tension r\u00e9glable permet une plage de 15V \u00e0 partir de l&rsquo;une des trois tensions maximales (28V, 36V ou 48V) en fonction de la puissance disponible permettant \u00e0 l&rsquo;appareil aliment\u00e9 de demander des tensions sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 une r\u00e9solution de 100mV. Les exigences de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 pour les produits de la gamme 100 \u00e0 240 W sont \u00e9galement plus strictes que pour les produits de faible puissance et sont d\u00e9finies par les sp\u00e9cifications de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 applicables d\u00e9finies par les r\u00e9glementations de chaque pays o\u00f9 les produits seront vendus.<\/p>\n<p>Pour Brad Saunders, pr\u00e9sident du groupe des promoteurs USB \u00ab&nbsp;Avec les nouvelles capacit\u00e9s de l&rsquo;USB Power Delivery 3.1, nous permettons aux produits plus puissants tels que les grands ordinateurs portables d&rsquo;utiliser des connecteurs d&rsquo;alimentation traditionnels \u00e0 l&rsquo;USB Type-C&nbsp;\u00bb. Un plus large \u00e9ventail de d\u00e9veloppeurs d&rsquo;applications de produits en dehors de l&rsquo;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me USB traditionnel peut d\u00e9sormais standardiser l&rsquo;USB Type-C avec l&rsquo;alimentation USB PD pour leurs besoins en \u00e9nergie.<\/p>\n<p>La mise \u00e0 jour fait partie de la feuille de route des performances USB et s&rsquo;adresse &nbsp;sp\u00e9cifiquement aux d\u00e9veloppeurs plut\u00f4t qu&rsquo;au march\u00e9 grand public. La nouvelle sp\u00e9cification 240W USB PD3.1 est prise en charge par STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments&nbsp;&nbsp;pour un connecteur de bus v\u00e9ritablement universel et plus puissant. Le groupe comprend \u00e9galement Renesas Electronics en tant que fabricant de puces, et Infineon Technologies est devenu un important fournisseur de contr\u00f4leurs apr\u00e8s son acquisition du
