Les capteurs sont&nbsp; courb\u00e9s un peu \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re de la r\u00e9tine humaine. Cette technologie permet dans certains cas, une r\u00e9duction jusqu\u2019\u00e0 60% de la taille de l\u2019objectif gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction du nombre de lentilles n\u00e9cessaire au syst\u00e8me optique et ce, sans alt\u00e9rer la qualit\u00e9 d\u2019image. Il est \u00e9galement possible de supprimer certaines aberrations optiques, responsables de la d\u00e9gradation de la qualit\u00e9 des images.
